Dear colleagues,

The Archaeological Museum of Istria in Pula is pleased to announce the organisation of the 12th Colloquium on Roman Provincial Art. We would like to invite you to participate. The Colloquium presentations will be published in Acta and should be related to the main subject of the Colloquium or one of the other subjects.

The application should contain: author’s name and address, title, summary and proposed type of the presentation.

Time and place:                      Pula, May 23-28, 2011

The main subject of the Colloquium:                       

Dating of the stone monuments and criteria for determination of chronology.

Other subjects:

Representations of women and family
Recent finds (on posters)

Types of presentations:        

1. Synthesis (20 minutes, plus 10 minutes discussion)
2. Presentation of particular monument or group of monuments (10 minutes, plus 5 minutes discussion)
3. Posters (presenting news on recent finds)

The official Colloquium languages are:        

Croatian, German, English, French and Italian. The language of the presentation to be used is German, English, French or Italian.

Application deadline:   Title and abstract (up to 1000 words) of the contributions, in digital and written form, must be submitted to the contact address by June 1, 2010.
